  8. So sorry about Laurel. When you get to my age you will have lost so many dogs. That is the price we pay for the pleasure of their company for a short time. Nice to hear you are donating the proceeds to dog charities. NOT I hope to RJW to keep him in the style to which he has become accustomed. God bless litle Laurel - you are both lucky to have each other.

  12. Hi Steve and Laurel,

I haven't visited for a while, although we've kept in touch by occasional email. Nice website.

I'm glad to hear Laurel is winding down slowly and comfortably. It's as it should be.

You sent me a lovely message when I lost my old Stafford Cleo at the age of 16 years,. She was such a loving dog, & died peacefully in my arms at home. Who could ask for anything more? It was all the more poignant as we rescued her from PTS at 1 year of age, so she had a bonus 15 years :o)

We took her everywhere with us, she especially enjoyed our dog friendly cottage holidays every year of her life, and like Laurel, she was loved by all who met her.

That was nearly 2 years ago now and we have a very different dog in Tala, our latest Stafford. I sent you some puppy pics of her which are displayed in Laurel's Friends' section. Tala is stubborn at times and will only obey when and if she feels like it, but she is also very loving, a typical Staff really.

I've added you to "My Favourites" so will pop in from time to time to see how you are getting on.

Best wishes to Laurel, and hope she carries on as she is for a few more years.

    Regards,

    Caroline x

  13. Just happy to hear that Laurel is doing so well. I suppose slowing down is inevitable, but as long as she's enjoying life and you're enjoying her, that's what matters.

Keeping you all in my heart and prayers,

    Elizabeth and Sienna

  17. Hi Steve and Laurel,

Forgot about your wonderful website ! So glad to hear Laurel is on the mend. I am sure the sunshine is helping, I know Daisy

is alot happier at the mo after her op at the end of last year. She still goes for hydro and physio therapy once or twice a week

which the insurers still pay for (thankfully)! She had an absese on one of her back teeth a couple of weeks ago. Within 24hrs

she was wanting her dentastix and chewing her towell and toys. If that was us we would of been out of action for a week or

more ! Anyway, always thinking of you both, take care and god bless, Graham and Daisy dog !

  18. Hi Laurel

  19. Hi Steve and Laurel,

I just wanted to say thank you, so much, for sending me lovely Laurel's fabulous book! I am really enjoying reading it and it is a wonderful insight in to this special breed of dogs that, I am ashamed to say, know little about. Laurel is rapidly changing this for me!

All best wishes to you both,

    Sue and the 'greythounds'

  20. Dear Steve,

well done for writing a book for Staffie friends! With the current problems this breed is experiencing in the UK it's great to see something positive in the news for them and the benefit to Staffie rescue groups will be much needed help.

All the best and keep up the good work. Laurel looks a very kind and gentle dog and how lucky she is to be so loved.

    Best wishes

    Maria & Paul

  23. Hi Steve and laurel

I am so glad that laurel is enjoying some sunny days in her garden with her dad. I have read laurels book and what a lovely read it was, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was empathetic with the behaviour bits as Charlie my staffie used to spin and bark and we were told the same - to ignore it, but it didnt work either but he rarely does it these days. I hope you stay well laurel

love from Carole and Charlie boy

ps Charlie spends days at his nannies house as well !!

  24. Well done to you both Steve and Laurel ,

and all the best for the future xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I have just read your blog & I am so happy that you are feeling better Laurel. Have you been back to your field yet?

I hope & pray that you continue to gain strength, feel ease, peace & happiness.

Thinking of you & sending all my best wishes & love....Bruce sends licks xxx
